Да, и Я.Г. Танака всё-таки пожалел, что убил Кирхайса. В смысле, что сделал это так рано, конечно. Но пожалел же!


So I went to staff talk and Yoshiki Tanaka spoke about writing LoGH. Please do not copy paste as your own. I wrote this twice because Facebook had error and everything was gone...(´；ω；`) It is not easy for me...

1. LoGH was actually planned as a 3-chapter novel. But it was popular so the editior asked him to write 10 chapters in total near the end of Chapter 2. Yoshiki said if he had been told earlier that they would like 10 chapters, he would not have arranged Kirchies died that soon. He would have him died later, this is his biggest regret.

Rupert Kesselring would not have been appeared if only 3 chapters. He had to write 10 so there was Rupert and he definitely wanted him to fight against his father, just like Saito Dousan and his son Saito Yoshitatsu in Senngoku Period. 

He did not write a result for the fight bewteen Reuentahl and Schonkopf because he was afraid the fans of loser side would send him blades (death threats). But he knew people love to see handsome guys/beautiful girls fighting. So he wrote that on purpose.

2. Yoshiki did not have much details decided when he wrote. He enjoyed writing what he could think of when he picked his pen. But the whole content was decided. He said it was like, you have many ways to get where you want to. You can take a bus to the city and then take a train to countryside, and then suddenly you want to stop by somewhere and you ride a bicycle. So he did not want to fix the route to what he decided as an end.

3. Yoshiki was in University when he was writing LoGH chapter 2, he did not mean to be an author but somehow he became one because after graduting, he started to write Chapter 3 and so on

4. The names of characters actually are made up from real people. Yoshiki went to public library to read what happened for the years (some books like recording what big things happened during the year) , write down the names of those important people/presidents/leaders of countries, politicial people etc Then he randomly mixed the names for characters.

Fritz Josef Bittenfeld, "Bittenfeld" was from the Minister of Education of West Germany  of year 1955.
